LINUS structures EUR 20 million whole loan for residential development in Berlin

The digital investor LINUS Capital and a leading German reinsurance company jointly invested in a residential development of the property developer CASADA in Berlin. The investors provided approximately 20 million euro to finance the land purchase and other project costs.

In addition to traditional mezzanine investments, LINUS also structures so-called whole loans and plans more investments in this segment in 2019. "Through whole loans we can offer property developers simple and fast, one stop financing. In addition, it allows us to join during a project phase in which banks are often still hesitant to provide financing. We are pleased to kick off our first investment in this segment with a strong and renowned partner like CASADA and will further expand our portfolio in this area," says LINUS CEO David Neuhoff.

LINUS is an innovative investment company that offers experienced investors such as family offices and wealthy private investors access to selected off-market real estate investments. LINUS acts as an anchor investor and secures projects in which selected co-investors can invest via the online platform The investment focus is on mezzanine investments ranging between 3 and 20 million EUR for property developments in A and B cities in German-speaking countries and London. Co-investors can participate starting at minimum investments of 200,000 EUR.

CASADA is an owner-operated property developer focused on the development and construction of residential and commercial real estate in prime locations in Berlin. The company was founded 25 years ago and also operates its own construction business. CASADA currently has a pipeline of ten projects under development with a total project volume of more than 900 million euro.
